90’s Pop Singer Arrested After Palm Beach Bar Fight

News

R&B singer Mark Morrison, best known for his 1996 hit “Return of the Mack,” was arrested over the weekend following a reported disturbance at a Palm Beach bar and lounge.

The incident occurred Saturday evening at Le Bar à Vin, a popular upscale venue known for its live music and themed events. According to police, Morrison entered the establishment visibly upset and began shouting about an in-house event. Staff say tensions had already begun the night before, when Morrison allegedly insisted on raising the music volume during a performance he organized. When management asked him to lower it, he reportedly did not take it well.

The situation escalated when Morrison allegedly shoved another individual with an open hand. The victim told officers the contact was not welcomed and expressed intent to press charges. A witness confirmed the manager’s account and helped break up the altercation.

Morrison, a resident of Palm Beach Gardens, was arrested and later released on $1,000 bond. He faces a simple battery charge, with an arraignment scheduled for April 15.
