Hoffman’s Chocolates Closes Its Iconic Greenacres Location

News

A beloved Palm Beach County chocolate shop has closed its doors after nearly 50 years in business. Hoffman’s Chocolates, known for its gourmet confections and seasonal gift baskets, has officially shut down its flagship location in Greenacres.

The store, located on Lake Worth Road, had been a community favorite, offering customers a glimpse into the chocolate-making process. Longtime visitors recall watching chocolates being crafted in the store’s kitchen, a tradition that made Hoffman’s a local treasure.

“It’s a very sad day,” said Kathy Heeney, a longtime customer who grew up nearby. “We’ve been coming here since the beginning, and we loved watching them make the chocolates in the back.”

While the Greenacres location is no longer in operation, Hoffman’s Chocolates confirmed that its other South Florida stores remain open. Customers can still purchase their signature chocolates, fudge, and ice cream at locations in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Fort Lauderdale, and Plantation.

The Greenacres property was sold in March 2022 to Saito Facility, which has new development plans for the site. Despite the closure, Hoffman’s assures customers that their award-winning treats are still available at their remaining locations.

For those looking to continue enjoying Hoffman’s Chocolates, their stores across South Florida are open and ready to serve.
